Finalists at the Palliative Care Awards

This year, two of our staff teams from Rake Lane in Salford and The Glade in Bedford were finalists in the 2025 Palliative Care Awards. These awards celebrate and recognise the exceptional strength, care, and kindness of staff when providing palliative care for a person they support and their loved ones. We are so proud that both of these amazing staff teams were recognised for their incredible work and compassionate natures, and know that they are winners in our eyes!
Emily Horne, Registered Manager of The Glade, said: “We had a fantastic evening – complete with a delicious three-course dinner, a fabulous Whitney Houston tribute act, and a real highlight; Emma and I had the chance to meet the lovely Kate Garraway. While we didn’t take home the win this time, it was an absolute honour to be nominated, and such a proud moment to be finalists. We’re incredibly proud of our amazing teams and everything we’ve achieved together.”
Toni Rollinson, Registered Manager of Rake Lane, said: “It was such a fab night. We felt really lucky to have attended and really appreciated the opportunity to be able to go. It was also really nice to meet Emily and Emma our colleagues over at The Glade. Being nominated really meant the world to myself and the team – my message to the team following was that they’re my winners and that they absolutely deserved to have been finalists!”
A huge congratulations to the staff teams at The Glade and Rake Lake- we are so proud of you and the person-centred support you provide every single day.
