You’re Invited to Creative Together’s Be Free Festival

It’s that time again! Creative Together is holding the ‘Be Free Festival’ 2025, a fully co-produced two-day event on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th July between 12pm-6pm.
This year, the festival is hosted by the 53Two Theatre at Arch 19, Watson Street, Manchester, M3 4LP. The venue is fully inclusive and accessible with a fully equipped bathroom, complete with hoist. The 150 seat theatre is easily accessible from nearby St Peter’s Square and Deansgate-Castlefield Metrolink stops, Deansgate Train Station, as well as bus routes.
The festival is an opportunity for you to get up on stage and perform absolutely anything, including firm favourite options:
- Comedy – The stage will be open for you to tell your favourite (inoffensive) jokes
- Music – Live music performances from bands and individual performers
- Karaoke – Perform your favourite songs
- Spoken Word & Poetry – Share your beautiful writing with us
- Drama – What will you act out? Take part in improvisation sets on stage
- Dance – Move your body!
- Short Film – Screening of short drama films from Acting on Impulse
- Puppet Show – Creative Together’s film of their very own puppet show ‘Be Free, Be Yourself’, written by members based on their lived experience
Exclusive – The release of Creative Together’s very own music track ‘Be Free, Not Afraid’ with accompanying music video. This song has been written and produced by members of the centre and stars those participants.
You can enjoy activities such an art workshop where you can show off your skills with specially designed moth templates, making your own circus flowers, and paint glistening CDs to hang in your sunny window!
There will also be a poetry workshop where you can craft a poem with the team to be performed in the spoken word set live onstage!
