National Safeguarding Adults Week
This week marks National Safeguarding Adults Week. Over the course of this week, we’ll be sharing information on the ways you can help to safeguard vulnerable adults, as well as the kinds of safeguarding issues to look out for.
‘Safeguarding’ means protecting the health, wellbeing, and human rights of people at risk. The theme this year is ‘Creating Safer Cultures’, meaning people should feel able to report issues when they spot them. Here at Creative Support, we’re working hard to promote an open culture where you feel confident to speak out about any poor practices at your service. We’ll be talking more about what an open culture involves in our articles this week, along with sharing a blog written by our Customer Care team.
One of the ways we’re creating an open culture at work is through our ‘Code RED’ process. Code RED is internal and completely anonymous, allowing you to speak out if you see something at work which you feel might be harmful to someone’s care or support. If you share your concerns with management and you don’t feel like you are being listened to, you can contact Code RED for a second opinion.
If you would like to report an incident to our Code RED team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0161 238 7657 and help us make Creative Support an even safer place for all.
Keep your eyes peeled over the rest of National Safeguarding Adults Week for more articles on our work related to safeguarding practices.
