Welfare Rights and Appointeeship Officer

We would like you to join our Welfare Rights and Appointeeship Team, based at our Stockport Head Office and help us make a difference.

The Team has a passion for helping vulnerable adults improve and maintain their quality of life through the maximisation of benefits and budgeting skills.  We are looking for someone who is warm, positive, creative and accountable with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with clients, families, staff and partner agencies.

You will be responsible for a caseload of corporate appointeeships, managing benefit claims, bank accounts and budgeting for a number of vulnerable adults who do not have the capacity to do this for themselves.

You will have a good knowledge of the DWP benefits system and  an interest in financial inclusion.  You will need to be self-motivated with a keen interest in rules and regulations and how we can use this knowledge for the benefit of our clients.
