Support Worker
We are looking for a warm and compassionate Support Worker, to join our lively team at our Supported Living service in the heart of Rugeley, Staffordshire. Our service provides person-centred care to 14 individuals with learning disabilities, who have varied levels of support needs.
Support Worker Duties:
- Assist with day-to-day living duties, such as budgeting, shopping, support with medication, and personal care needs
- Collaborate with service users, families, carers, and professionals to provide a coordinated and consistent service, which works in the best interest of the supported individual
- Be responsive to the needs of service users in line with Person Centred Plans, and respond flexibly to any changes required
- Encourage and support service users to express their needs, views, and concerns, enabling them to make their own choices and decisions
- Promote our service users’ independence as much as possible, while also being a friendly supportive hand
This is a part time position of 30 hours per week, which are to be worked flexibly on a rota basis, according to the needs of the service. Shifts will often be worked in teams of 3 to 4 staff members ensuring quality person-centred support to all of our service users. Please note, you must be willing to work evenings, weekends, sleep-in shifts, and public holidays.
While beneficial, previous experience is not essential; we value an engaging, creative, and person-centred approach above all. Therefore, the ideal candidate would be someone who is passionate about enabling and encouraging our service users to enjoy a fulfilling & valued life.
