Senior Support Worker
Creative Support is a non-profit provider of person centred care and support to people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism spectrum conditions, physical sensory impairment, and older people. Our Laceby service provides unique support services to adults with a range of learning disability, complex physical disability care and support needs in their own homes.
We strive to offer unique and person centred active support services that is stimulating, enjoyable, and motivational. Our aim is to support people with care needs to explore life opportunities, build and develop upon their unique skills and achieve what is important to them.
We are looking for an experienced practitioner to provide person centred support in our supported living service in Grimsby.
Your role will include:
• Providing respectful personal care, emotional and practical support to service users
• Developing daily living skills with service users to maximize their independence
• Identifying and accessing opportunities and activities for social inclusion with service users
• Collaborating with service users, families and friends, and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service
• Supervise staff and deploy staff resources effectively to meet the needs of the service
• Assisting the project manager in ensuring that the service meets all the requirements and standards set by commissioners, Creative Support, and other stakeholders
Experience in providing care and support to people with learning disabilities is essential for this role.
It is expected that you will work flexibly on a rota to meet the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
