Creative Together to Hold International Women’s Day Extravaganza
Manchester-based Creative Together will celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day with a variety of exciting workshops, crafting sessions and showcases.
Creative Together, a co-produced centre for adults with support needs, will be hosting a full day event based on this year’s International Women’s Day theme of ‘Inspiring Inclusion’. The event will include sessions on ‘expressing your style’ and making jewellery, as well as a workshop on attaining life goals. There will be a creative showcase, a chance for visitors to have their portrait drawn, plus market stalls where visitors can purchase Creative Together merchandise.
RSPCA Manchester & Salford will be supplying materials for a ‘Second Hand Style’ station. Visitors will have an opportunity to dress a mannequin that reflects their style, or a style that they like but have not yet tried.
Free health advice will be available from The Menopause Charity, and a portion of the money raised from the day will be donated to the charity.

“Creative Support is home to such amazing creative talent, and this event will give our staff and service users a platform to share their abilities. We hope to show the world that the women we support have a lot to offer, and that the barriers they face should not hold them back from achieving their dreams. I’m so excited to open up our creative space to the public during this celebration of International Women’s Day in Manchester.”
The centre, which is located in the Northern Quarter, serves as the national co-production centre of Creative Support, a not-for-profit social care provider. It is an inclusive space promoting inspiration, participation and collaboration.

The International Women’s Day event takes place on Friday 8th March, 11am-4pm, at the Creative Together Centre. There will be a small charge for the workshops, between £4 and £5 each except for the life goals workshop which is free.
