Creative Support Awarded Gold by Investors in People

Creative Support, a not-for-profit provider of care and support services, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Investors in People Gold accreditation.

Creative Support, whose headquarters are in Stockport, supports over 6,000 people with support needs in services located in 67 local authorities in England.

Investors in People sets a standard for how an organisation should lead, support and develop its staff. The Gold award recognises Creative Support’s strong commitment to investing in its workforce and creating a positive working environment that leads to the delivery of high quality services which meet the individual needs of service users. Just 17% of UK IIP accredited companies achieve the prestigious Gold award.

The Investors in People report notes that employees across Creative Support are “clearly connected and aligned” to the purpose of the organisation to promote the independence, inclusion and wellbeing of people with care and support needs. Staff members are really engaged with the organisation’s ‘We Care’ values (Welcoming, Empowering, Compassionate, Aspirational, Respectful, Effective) and express this in the way they work.

The report states:

“It’s clear that the organisation is passionate about its purpose. These relationships are strengthened even further by employees regularly connecting with the community, not only through services but at events as well. Through the actions and commitment of Creative Support employees, it’s clear that the organisation is having a positive impact on the communities which they serve.”

Anna Lunts, Chief Executive of Creative Support, said:

“I am delighted that we have been awarded Gold by Investors in People. This prestigious award reflects the hard work, commitment and values of our staff and Managers across the country. I want to congratulate every staff member on this fantastic achievement.”

Ray Kendall-Corry, Head of Engagement & Learning at Creative Support, said:

“We understand that if our people feel valued, happy, and are offered the best development opportunities, that results in better care and support for the people who use our services. We are very proud of our people and this brilliant achievement.”

Creative Support is committed to creating a supportive, diverse and inclusive workplace. The organisation is proud to be a Mindful Employer, a Stonewall Diversity Champion, and a Disability Confident Employer.
