Creative Stars – September Winners!
Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!
Our awards for the people we support celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.
This month’s round of winners are:
High Flyer Award – Ebony W, Bradford
Ebony is ambitious, determined, and passionate about achieving her goals – a true high flyer! Throughout the past year, she has successfully enrolled onto a university course to study science and mathematics and managed to secure a job working on a mental health ward supporting young women like herself. She is making an incredible difference to the lives of the people she is helping, using her own experiences to advocate for people.
Ebony has also been pursuing her passion for music and has written and released two original songs! Ebony, you are inspirational and we can’t wait to see what you get up to next. Congratulations on all of your amazing achievements!
Eco-friendly Award – Leanne, Victoria and Michelle, Doncaster
Leanne, Victoria, and Michelle have been putting their passion for looking after our planet to fantastic use during National Recycling Week! Working so brilliantly as a team, the trio ensure all rubbish is recycled properly and sorted into the correct bins. Leanne, Victoria, and Michelle all recognise how important this is and wanted to share their own messages to remind everyone why recycling matters. Michelle shared: “recycling makes the world cleaner” while Leanne said, it “protects the environment.” Victoria also shared that: “recycling stops rubbish going into our oceans and hurting sea creatures.”
Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful advice with us. Keep up the hard work, you’ve all been doing an excellent job!
Positivity Award – Natalie Cavanagh, Bedford
Our Positivity Award Champion this month is Natalie, who recently joined the Creative Support community and is already working hard on her goals and achievements. Natalie moved into her service in August from her family home, and has enjoyed making her own flat feel like hers. She has spent time decorating and furnishing the flat with her favourite things, and has worked hard to make sure it’s a clean, tidy, and lovely place to be. Every day, Natalie works towards independence, from hoovering and washing the dishes, to doing her shopping and learning how to cook.
Natalie has already settled into her new home and the Creative Support community, and we can’t wait to see what she achieves next. Congratulations Natalie and welcome to Creative Support!
Community Champion Award – Ken, Barnsley
Kind, welcoming, and caring, Ken is thoroughly deserving of the Community Champion award for all of his hard work over many years at his service. Always willing to give a helping hand to anyone, no job is too small for Ken and he makes a real difference to the lives of everyone around him.
Ken can be found helping at every event; decorating rooms, moving furniture and welcoming residents – no party happens without him! What makes Ken truly special is the way he genuinely cares for his community and wants to make a positive difference where he lives. Thank you for everything you do, Ken. Everyone would be lost without you!

Creative Stars are judged by people we support, and you can take part by hosting a judging panel for one of the monthly rounds.
Holding a judging panel at your service is a great way to have your say and find out about all the amazing achievements of people we support across the country.
We will send you all the nominations, guidance and some special merchandise to say thank you.
