Creative Stars – May Winners!

Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!
Our service user awards celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.
Congratulations to this month’s round of winners:
High Flyer Award
Thomas, Doncaster
Since moving into our Supported Living Services, Thomas has been nurturing great relationships with his housemates and staff as well as keeping up a busy and meaningful schedule. He spends time with friends and his partner, and now he’s also started volunteering with a local charity. Having previously volunteered in the last placement, Thomas was eager to carry on found a new opportunity nearby.
Congratulations, Thomas – we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do next!
Eco-friendly Award
Sodabeh Bashar, Middlesbrough
Sodabeh has created a thriving allotment space where she’s growing a variety of herbs and vegetables. She even makes her own compost from food scraps and recycled cardboard. Sodabeh loves spending time outdoors and sharing her gardening knowledge with other allotment members. Spending time at the allotment has been a fantastic boost for Sodabeh’s wellbeing, and her commitment to eco-friendly living is inspiring.
Well done Sodabeh – your green thumbs and big heart are making a real difference!
Positivity Award
Marie Hunter, Durham
Marie has been on a journey with her health, and is now in a better place than ever. She is up and about early in the morning, enjoying chatting with staff and embracing her one-to-one time. She’s exploring new activities, bringing positivity wherever she goes, and always has a big smile on her face. Her outlook on life is brighter than ever, and she can’t wait for what the future holds.
Amazing work, Marie – your strength and positivity are shining through!
Community Champion Award
William, South Tyneside
William has recently done a fantastic job helping to refurbish the summerhouse at his service. He played a key role in replacing plastic windows and clearing the area of rubbish. The space is now a clean, welcoming spot that can be enjoyed by the local community in Jarrow.
Great job William – your hard work has helped create something special for everyone to enjoy!
