Creative Stars – March Winners!

Creative Stars – March Winners!

Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!

Our awards for the people we support celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.

This month’s round of winners are:

High Flyer Award – Andrew, South Shields

Our High Flyer winner, Andrew, has been an amazing support to his service over recent months. During the recruitment of new staff, he volunteered to assist managers with interviewing candidates which was an extremely impressive step that saw him engaging with new people and contributing thoughtfully to hiring decisions.

This was a particularly significant achievement, as it marked Andrew’s first full day out at the service following a period of ill health. He rose to the occasion and did an outstanding job, even expressing interest in supporting future interviews!

Well done, Andrew, you have been a true asset to the team!

Paul is this month’s Eco-Friendly Champion after being recognised for his dedication to recycling.

Each week, no matter the weather, Paul takes the service’s recycling down to the local centre – a routine he has kept up for several years! He carefully sorts plastic, cardboard, and glass, ensuring everything is disposed of correctly.

Paul’s commitment has not only made a positive impact on the environment, but has also inspired those around him. By leading through example, he has encouraged his peers to be more mindful and take an active role in recycling. Brilliant work, Paul!

Steven recently enjoyed a well-deserved trip to Tynemouth, a special and rewarding day!

After undergoing surgery, Steven has shown amazing determination in his recovery. He has consistently stayed positive, completing his daily exercises independently and focusing on his goal of visiting the seaside.

His hard work paid off with a lovely day out, enjoying fresh sea air and a well-earned fish and chips. Everyone is extremely proud of Steven for his fantastic progress!

Our Community Champion this month is David from Halifax, who started a course for an ‘Award in Personal Progress’, and recently produced some artwork for an exhibition at his local library.

David went to the library and was proud to see his and his course-mates’ work on display. The Deputy Mayoress took a picture with David, and everyone watched a slideshow featuring the artwork on display!

Amazing job David, and congratulations on being this month’s Community Champion!
