Creative Stars – March Winners!

Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!
Our service user awards celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.
Congratulations to this month’s round of winners:
High Flyer Award
Jacqueline Dickinson, Redcar
Jacqueline has received her nomination for her calmness, helpfulness and resourcefulness during a check-in at her service. The property is not staffed, so when the emergency services knocked on to do a routine check on another tenant, she was incredibly helpful and quickly engaged our out-of-hours team who sent a member of staff over.
Jacqueline was unruffled, helpful and calm throughout the process and has been commended by the staff team for how she handled the situation and followed our internal processes for contacting Head Office.
Fantastic work Jacqueline, you are such a great help!
“Jackie did really well and made sure everything went smoothly.”
Eco-friendly Award
Adam Proctor, Manchester
Recycling champion Adam in Manchester has won this month’s Eco-Friendly award for his recycling efforts for not just himself, but two other residents at his service as well. He also goes above and beyond by actively recycling his e-cigarettes, picking up litter while out and about, and even purchased an air fryer because he believes it’s better for the environment than his old cooker.
Adam is also a keen gardener, and loves to grow plants, vegetables and fruit. Last year, he had such a wonderful haul he donated his excess to a local food bank.
You truly are an inspiration Adam, keep up the amazing work!
“We are incredibly impressed by Adam’s commitment to improving his environment, giving back to his community, and inspiring others to do the same.”
Positivity Award
Tracy, Leeds
The “kind and caring” Tracy has been nominated in this round of awards for going the extra mile and for always thinking of others. No matter what she has going on herself, she always puts others before herself and checks in on people as often as she can.
Tracy has recently been creating artwork for staff and other tenants to put up and enjoy, which everyone has really appreciated. She has also been super generous when baking cakes and hands out her delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.
Tracy you are a ray of sunshine and we know everyone at your service hugely appreciates your positivity!
“Her heartfelt efforts have gone a long way to bring joy to others.”
Community Champion Award
Nan, Cumbria
The “wonderful and positive” Nan in Cumbria is known for her kindness and going out of her way to help others. She has previously helped decorate the service for events and gets involved in all of the activities. For example, on VE Day, Nan asked her daughter to help them celebrate by purchasing decorations and raffle prizes to help get all the other residents involved.
Nan is a shoulder for everyone, going around to check everyone is okay, cheering people up and sits with people to keep them company. She is always around to help and is a true asset to the Creative Support community.
We could all do with a Nan in our lives! Amazing work, your efforts haven’t gone unnoticed Nan.
“Nan, your heart-warming dedication to other residents and uplifting their spirits makes you an invaluable asset.”
