Creative Stars July Winners!
Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!
Our awards for the people we support celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.
Congratulations to this month’s round of winners:
High Flyer Award- Terence Wright, Altrincham
Terence is this month’s High Flyer thanks to all the progress he has made towards his goals since moving into his service. His achievements have helped to make him feel more independent in his life.
Terence has been working hard to lead a healthier lifestyle, exercising more and no longer uses a wheelchair in his home. Terry has also been enjoying his recent visits to the barbers.
Terence, it is incredible what you have achieved in a short amount of time. Keep going!
Eco-friendly Award – Peter Wallace, Blackburn
Since Peter moved into his service, he has enjoyed looking after the garden and making it look beautiful. Peter wanted to make a positive impact on his wider community, so he decided to volunteer some extra hours every day to clean up the streets in his local area.
Peter has enjoyed getting outside and loves how people come up to him while he volunteers to tell him he is doing a good job!
Well done, Peter! You’re making both your service and local area clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy.
Positivity Award – Joan Patrice, Barnsley
Joan has shown great bravery and positivity during an extremely difficult time. Her strength has inspired everyone around her.
Joan continues to uplift others, remaining kind, present and compassionate. She always offers words of encouragement and warmth to everyone she meets. Everyone admires her resilience, and the staff team at her service want to celebrate her ‘unwavering courage’.
Thank you for being such an inspiration, Joan.
Community Champion Award– Luke Pearlman, Leeds
Luke is an inspiring champion of his local community. He regularly volunteers his time at a local charity shop, participates in recruitment fairs for Creative Support and is known to be an advocate for the local Pride event. Luke is known as a helpful and empathetic person who selflessly looks out for others.
Luke created a brilliant notice board at his service which lets everyone know of local events that they might be interested in. He is heavily involved in the running of the disco at his service and always enjoys decorating his service for events.
Great work Luke! Everyone appreciates your commitment to help others in your community.
