Celebrating Our Finalists and Winners

Celebrating Our Finalists and Winners

This month, staff teams across our organisation attended two highly prestigious award ceremonies that celebrated their remarkable achievements over the last 12 months.

Learning Disability and Autism Awards:

Our North East Activities Development Team were proud to receive an award in the ‘Making a Difference’ category! The judges were looking for a team that promoted inclusion and cohesion through their work within the community. The team is comprised of three outstanding colleagues: Lucy, Nicole, and Jessica. They have dedicated their roles to organising memorable, creative, and inclusive events for people we support and people supported by other providers across Teesside and Tyneside. Development Officer, Nicole, said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have won!”

We’re also pleased to announce that our Morecambe Supported Living service received ‘High Commendation’ for their exceptional role in supporting older people with a learning disability. Service Manager, Kat, attended the ceremony with Support Workers Mayowa and Silas and even took a photo with Peter Andre who was compering the event.

Women in Housing

Catherine Reilley-Cooper, Head of Supported Housing and Financial Inclusion was a runner up for Inside Housing’s ‘Woman of the year’ award.

Having enjoyed an evening of glitz and glam, the Housing team came together to celebrate Catherine’s hard work and astounding achievements over the year.

Catherine said: “Although we didn’t win, we had a really lovely evening all the same and I am so grateful to have got to finals! We definitely want to try and get a few nominations for next year’s event.”

A huge congratulations to our fantastic winners and finalists. We’re so pleased to know they have received external recognition for all their hard work and care they put into providing meaningful support.
