‘I am doing the things that matter to me’

‘I am doing the things that matter to me’

It’s important to focus and reflect on the things that matter to you! This journal will help you explore all your interests, activities, hobbies and events that you find most engaging.

You might enjoy creative activities such as drawing and crafting, or active hobbies like swimming, dancing, cooking, or visiting local parks. Doing activities are an excellent way to boost your wellbeing and quality of life. Hobbies help with building life skills and can lead to opportunities like training, volunteering, and employment. Research suggests engaging in regular activities that you enjoy can support your physical and mental health.

At Creative Support, we organise some spectacular events based on what you want to celebrate. From birthdays and Christmas parties, to national events like Black History Month – we love when people co-produce fantastic events and get involved!

The journal is a great way to reflect on what events you most look forward to throughout the year so that staff can support you to take part in what you want to do like going to a concert, sports event, festival or a disco.

Our Engagement Workshop is taking place in Derby on Wednesday 13th April. Participants will have the opportunity to fill out the journals, get crafty through a painting pebbles activity and play some bingo!  If you’d like to join in or learn more about this event, you can email social.valueteam@creativesupport.co.uk.
