Coffee Morning Volunteer

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Morning Volunteer to support our team with setting up, running, and tidying away after our coffee morning sessions for people we support in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Volunteering with Creative Support is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our dedicated team to provide truly person‑centred care.

We’re seeking someone who is warm, sociable, and a good listener. In this role, you’ll follow guidance from staff to prepare the room, moving tables and chairs and ensuring the space is fully accessible for wheelchair users. You’ll also help prepare tea and coffee, and serve refreshments during the session. Throughout the morning, you’ll chat with the people we support, help them feel welcome, and make sure they’re enjoying themselves.

If you can spare a couple of hours twice a month on a regular basis, we would love to hear from you!

This role is based in our office in Ashton Under Lyne, Tameside. We have a range of services in Tameside, supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health and older people.

Volunteer Duties:
– Move tables and chairs for the event.
– Prepare and hand out refreshments during the event.
– Circulate during the event ensuring the music is playing and the event is fun.
– Wash up the cups and plates, and tidy away to ensure the room is returned to its original use.
– Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members.
– Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries.
– Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided.

Hours: Twice a month, days flexible
