Creative Stars – December Winners!

Creative Stars – December Winners!

Congratulations to our latest round of Creative Stars winners!

Our awards for the people we support celebrate the people who shine brightly and do wonderful things for each other. We have four exciting category winners, who will receive a badge, £30 Love2Shop voucher and a certificate.

Congratulations to this month’s round of winners:

High Flyer Award – Peter, Market Harborough

Peter has a vibrant personality and brings happiness and positive energy to everyone around him. One of his goals this year was to become more independent, and with daily encouragement from the people who support him, he has made great progress.

Recently, Peter completed a personal independence learning course and received a Certificate of Achievement for his drama skills. This is a fantastic accomplishment for Peter, and everyone at the service is proud to celebrate his well-deserved achievement!

Eco-Friendly Award – Tony Hanlon, Birmingham

Tony has recently shown a passion for gardening and has taken an active role in growing his own carrots. He is keen to make a difference to both his wellbeing and the environment.

By growing his own produce, Tony has demonstrated a commitment to making environmentally friendly choices while also promoting healthier eating habits.

With continued support from staff, Tony is further developing his green thumb, and it’s been wonderful to see his enthusiasm for gardening shine through!

Positivity Award – David Turner, Altrincham

David is a beacon of positivity, spreading joy through his smiles and hugs. His friendly nature and warm welcome can instantly lift the mood of everyone around him.

He enjoys expressing himself through music, often playing the tambourine with a big smile and loves getting out for long walks, day trips, and social activities. These positive lifestyle changes have supported his wellbeing, and it’s been lovely to see the difference this has made. David’s cheerful spirit and love for life make him a much-loved member of the service!

Community Champion – Richard James, Dudley

Richard has become a valued member of his local community through his regular involvement in voluntary gardening. He enjoys rolling up his sleeves, takes pride in giving back, and brings enthusiasm to everything he does. Richard has also been taking on more responsibility at home, which has helped him build new skills, grow in confidence, and become more independent in his day-to-day routine.

As his confidence has grown, Richard has really enjoyed getting more involved in service activities and joining in with community events. He approaches every challenge with a positive, can-do attitude and truly is a community champion!

We will send you all the nominations, guidance and some special merchandise to say thank you.
