Stockport Pride 2025

On Sunday, Creative Support brought colour, joy, and sparkle to Stockport Pride with our vibrant stall and presence in the parade.

We were honoured to be joined by members of Creative Together in Manchester, who turned up in full Pride spirit. Chris wore his Pride-themed trainers, and Sara carefully chose some stunning silver earrings.

A few bursts of torrential rain couldn’t dampen the celebration. The parade, which kicked off at noon, was a loud and colourful procession, with crowds singing along to pop anthems. Even a few four-legged friends trotted alongside, rainbow flags in their collars.

After the parade, there was a packed line-up of musicians, speakers, DJs, and drag performances. Our stall, a rainbow gazebo, was buzzing all afternoon. Some of us danced to the headline acts, others chatted with the public and shared what Creative Support is all about.

A standout moment was Carolyn from Creative Together performing her powerful poem, “Power + Pride”, a moving tribute to the strength and unity of the LGBTQ+ community.
