‘I enjoy relationships with others’

‘I enjoy relationships with others’

We’re reintroducing our ‘I’ Statements this autumn! This month, we’re looking at the important relationships in our lives. As we approach the cooler months, it’s important to reflect on the people who have made an impact in our lives throughout the year.

The journal is a super helpful resource to help you look at what makes a good relationship, and think about the people you enjoy spending time with.

Throughout our lives, we may experience all types of relationships such as family, people we live with, friends, people we work with, and romantic partners. It’s good to think about what these relationships add to our lives – like having a similar sense of humour, sharing life experience, building trust, being interested in the same things – the list goes on!

The journal has a section for you to think about meeting new people and forming new relationships. There are some great ways to meet new people and friends with similar interests to you, such as going to events or taking part in activities you enjoy.

How about setting up a ‘Friendship Plan’ in the journal or having a think about friends you would like to spend time with this month. If you’ve found the plan helpful and have new (or reunited) relationships to share then we’d love to hear about it. Please email communications@creativesupport.co.uk with your updates, and we’ll share your stories on Creative Support’s social media!

We’re pleased to announce that Barnsley Extra Care will be hosting an Engagement Workshop on the 17th September. Attendees will be asked to invite a loved one for an afternoon tea and to decorate a photo frame. If you’d like to join in or learn more about this event, you can email social.valueteam@creativesupport.co.uk.
