Sunflower Competition Winners

Back in April, we launched our Sunflower Competition and sent out over 50 packs of seeds to our services across the country. Open to our staff and the people we support, we wanted to help bring sunshine into people’s green spaces and encourage them to start growing their own. A huge thank-you to everyone who participated and sent in their incredible photos and artwork, we were so impressed by all the entries we received!

Check out this towering sunflower which measures at a staggering 3.2 metres. Well done to all at this service for growing such a giant, it nearly reaches the clouds!

Best Sunflower Art

Tameside

Folks in Tameside made this incredible artwork inspired by Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting. It was a big team effort with many people creating their own individual sunflowers with mixed media, using a mixture of paint, stamps, feathers, tissue, watercolours and more. Their artwork is proudly displayed in the corridor of the service. Well done!

Special Mention

Raymond Salisbury, Essex

Raymond has earned a special mention for his impressive sunflowers. Well done Raymond, you’ve grown so many sunflowers and they look lovely with all the bright green leaves!
