Get ready to vote! Register by Tuesday 18th June
The General Election is taking place on Thursday 4th July. We want to encourage our staff and the people we support to use their vote and have their say about how our country is run.
We strongly encourage all of our staff to make sure they are registered to vote, and encourage the people we support to do the same.
To vote in an election, you must be registered to vote and have a valid ID.

You will be asked your National Insurance Number, but you can still register if you don’t have one. If you’re not sure whether you’re registered, you can contact your local Electoral Registration Office.

The Elections Act 2022 provided increased flexibility for support at polling stations, to make it easier for disabled people to vote independently and in secret. Anyone who is 18 years or older can now accompany a disabled voter to the polling station and provide support.
Please see below two official guides to voting, including an Easy Read booklet. Feel free to print these off and discuss with the people you support.
