Chrissie Cooke

Chrissie joined the Board in 2023. With a background as a retired nurse and extensive experience in senior leadership, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Having dedicated her career to the health and social care sectors, she possesses a thorough understanding of the care landscape, having worked in various board level roles for the past 16 years. She has a skill set that encompasses a wide range of competencies, including performance evaluation, good governance, legal and statutory compliance, risk management and assurance, financial and people management. A significant portion of her career has been dedicated to mental health and learning disability services, where she has served as a practitioner, middle manager and director. She has consistently advocated for people-centric approaches, because she is passionate about supporting vulnerable people to have good lives.  As well as her role at Creative Support, Chrissie is chair designate for an autism charity.
