Activities Volunteer

We have volunteer opportunities available at our service in Bedford. Do you have a passion for arts, crafts or gardening and would like to volunteer with us? We are a home for six residents with Learning disabilities, and we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver fun and engaging sessions, including:

Someone who enjoys reading aloud to come along once or twice a week to read to two of our residents.

Are you green-fingered? We have a lovely, large garden, with a sensory section, that needs a little TLC. The garden is a fantastic space and is well used by our residents in the Spring and Summer months.

Can you help our fantastic Activities Officer to deliver some fun and engaging crafts, games, and arts sessions? You could be just the person for us.

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, reliable, committed and enjoy working as a team. You can share your skills with us, or, learn and develop new skills.

As a volunteer with Creative Support we offer training for your role, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly Volunteer newsletter, and an online volunteer’s peer support group.

Preferred hours per week/time commitment: 4 Hours a week

Volunteer duties:
• To support clients with the sessions
• Set up and clear away the materials for the sessions
• Create a fun and engaging session
• To maintain professional boundaries
