We are seeking support staff that can provide excellent person-centred care and support to tenants to assist and develop everyday living skills and to enjoy a wide range of activities. This role will be based within a network of three services in the North Tyneside area.

We require positive and enthusiastic staff who will demonstrate superb communication skills, that are able to work within positive behaviour support guidelines and who will encourage the tenants to live socially inclusive lives. Our services focus on promoting recovery, wellbeing and greater independence. We enable people to make progress in these areas by recognising and building on their strengths, coping abilities, social networks and natural support systems.

The staff must be able to build a trusting and friendly rapport with all of the service users and to work within the guidelines of local and corporate policies in a dignified manner.

To achieve these positive outcomes, we work in partnership with the service users as well as a wide range of agencies and community groups. We are committed to using our assets and resources to create new opportunities for the people we support.

It is expected that you will work flexibly, including evenings, sleep-ins and weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos demonstrating high workplace values.

This role is part of a network of friendly and inclusive services within the North Tyneside area.

Experience is desirable for this role. You will have a warm, caring nature, and a commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives. We welcome applications from candidates who are committed to making a positive difference, including experienced support workers, graduates and people looking for a stimulating career path into social care.

This unique and challenging opportunity will provide you with an environment that encourages personal and professional development.

Creative Support also offers a wide range of benefits such as:

  • A one-off bonus of £100 upon successful completion of the 4-month probationary period
  • Competitive pay and a pension with company contribution and 28 days annual leave
  • Company paid enhanced DBS for all staff
  • Free employee support programme
  • All our staff are supported 24/7 by our out-of-hours teams
  • Support to complete the nationally recognised Care Certificate and Social Care Diploma

We are a passionate, inclusive and anti-racist organisation. We embrace diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds and cultures. As a Disability Confident Employer we welcome applications from people with a disability, and as a proud Stonewall Diversity Champion we actively encourage applications from the LGBT+ community.
