Events Volunteer
We are re-opening our Accrington Hub to our service users. It’s a fantastic space located in Accrington town centre, with room for fun and engaging events. We also have a café on site where refreshments will be provided. The events will enable our service users to gain in confidence, meet new people, and most importantly have fun! Whether it’s a party, a film night, or a coffee morning, if you are an enthusiastic, patient and empathetic person you will play a vital role in making our events a success and gain many new skills in the process.
• Set up for events, moving tables and chairs
• Helping to serve refreshments
• Promote the events to local service users
• Tidy away at the end of the event.
• Help to plan events.
Suggested time commitment: Flexible, anytime Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm.
As a volunteer with Creative Support we offer training for your role, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly volunteer newsletter, and an online volunteer’s peer support group.
