Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and help others, as well as being a step on the way to paid work. We have some volunteering opportunities at Creative Support and we also have an award scheme for anyone volunteering whether with Creative Support or for another charitable organisation, where you can earn shopping vouchers for every 100 hours voluntary work you undertake. For more information call 0161 236 0829 or email email@example.com.
Creative Support’s Programme of Grants
Creative Support has a rolling programme of grants which service users can apply for. The themes vary but all involving the local community or joint activities with other projects. Grants of up to £200 are available and past grants have included:
- A Gardening grant
- A Healthy Living grant
- A Seaside Trip grant
- A Community Involvement grant.
For more information on grants and fundraising, call Marketing on 0161 236 0829 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are other grants that you might be able to apply for. Local councils, businesses, the National Lottery, charitable trusts and housing associations sometimes offer grants which service users and tenants can apply for, depending on the project they want to finance. For example, Sandy Lane project received funds from the Big Lottery Fund to develop their garden. These grants often have particular conditions attached or are only available in certain geographical areas, so you need to find out the terms before you apply. Call Marketing on 0161 236 0829 or email email@example.com for more information about grants in your area and help with the application process.
