Short Job Description:

We are seeking individuals to work in South Manchester Mental Health Services, these positions are across 2 services that provide 24 hour support. The services are located in Fallowfield and Northenden.

You will assist the senior management team in the co-ordination and operational management of our mental health supported accommodation service, ensuring that a high quality service is maintained at all times. You will take delegated responsibility for key functions and tasks and ensure support is provided to service users with mental health needs, increasing independence for a move on from the service. You will also support the service delivery of CQC registered personal care and ensure the support team deliver this as designed in support plans.

We are seeking people who have a real interest in the social care sector and who want to work in services that have recovery based approaches. We are well established services and are able to offer the support needed to develop into a support worker role. Therefore experience is not essential, your desire to work in the sector is. We work with recovery approaches and ensure all support and risk management is bespoke to each person we work with.

You will be part of a team and receive supervision throughout the probationary process to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed. You will have the opportunity to work with other professionals in the sector in this role as you are very closely involved in service users’ day to day lives and support needs.
Exempt from section 7 2e of the SDA.
