Short Job Description:

Are you a resourceful, self-motivating manager, who has high standards along with a passion and commitment to deliver quality “person centred” services to people with learning disabilities, offering real choices and empowering them to live their lives to the full?

If so, you may just be the person we are looking for: a dynamic and enthusiastic person with a “can do” approach, to manage our busy short breaks service in Flixton. The service is in valuable to families and people supported in providing regular breaks in a “holiday” themed atmosphere

You will have a wide ranging responsibility for the service and we’ll look to you to lead, manage and develop individual people and teams whilst implementing effective quality standards. You will have strong leadership and organisational skills, and have a creative approach to problem solving.

You will have excellent communication skills, work effectively with families and other agencies and be committed to good practice in equality and diversity.

You will have a relevant professional qualification, DMS, DipSW, NVQ 4 Registered Manager (or equivalent).

You will have experience in working with a wide range of learning disabled people in particular people with complex health care needs and behaviours they may challenge.
