Short Job Description:

About the Service: North Lancashire Community Inclusion Service is a Community Based Mental Health Service working across Lancaster and Morecambe as well as Fylde and Wyre.

The service provides support for people who have mental health needs and are at risk of social isolation. We offer support in health and wellbeing, housing and finance and work with individuals to assist in their personal progression and help them work towards achieving personal goals.

A large part of what we do is providing opportunities for our service users to learn new skills and develop their confidence. We have a range of activities available, such as cookery classes, photography, and social events.

Purpose of the role: We’re looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic and approachable to assist at the coffee drop-in on Monday mornings. Volunteers will greet service users visiting the café and make them feel welcome. As a Volunteer Coffee Morning Assistant you will be reliable, friendly, and enjoy talking to others.

The purpose of the role is to be a point of contact between staff and service users, and be available to provide information about the service. On some occasions you will hand out timetables and promotional leaflets about the coffee morning to service users attending the drop-in.

Suggested Time Commitment: Volunteers will need to be available on Mondays 10.30am – 1.30pm.
