Short Job Description:

Do you want to join our staff team supporting three individuals with learning disabilities and complex care needs to live their lives to the full?

We are seeking positive, caring individuals to join our well-motivated and highly professional team, providing a supported living service for three people with a learning disability and complex care needs.

Our aim is to enable individuals to enjoy a high quality of life and to be active in their community. You will support people to experience a wide range of activities such as swimming, concerts, gym, sailing, trips and holidays.

The service is situated in an attractive shared living property in the Greetland/West Vale area of Calderdale. As this is a 24 hour supported living service, you will be required to work shifts including overnight sleep-ins.

Ideally you will have prior experience of providing care and support to people with complex care needs. However, this is not essential as we can offer full training to people who have strong person centred values and are passionate about making a difference. Our accredited training programmes include Health and Social Care Diplomas (Level 3 and above) and we will support your continuous professional development.

You must be able to meet the communication needs of our service users and you must be in good health and physically able to support people with mobility needs. We would be very keen to hear from you if you are able to drive people’s own Motability vehicles (although this is not an essential requirement).
