Short Job Description:

An exciting new supported living service in Warwick has recently opened for people with learning disabilities, and we are looking to recruit warm, flexible and motivated individuals to provide support within these services. This is a fresh approach to supporting people in their own tenancies – this innovatively designed Housing with Care and Support service delivers a modern, comfortable and safe environment for people to thrive within.

Some of the people we support may have additional complex physical or other health and social needs. At Creative Support we maximise their sense of wellbeing and independence through tailored, ongoing care and support. We work to make a positive difference in the tenants’ lives and promote their independence at every step, whilst enabling to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life. We inspire the people we support to enjoy opportunities for personal development and engagement within their local communities.

Purpose of the role: The role of Volunteer Befriender offers the opportunity to meet new people and to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable adults in Warwick. This is an invaluable role that will help reduce isolation and will hopefully enable people to engage more with their local community.

We’re seeking friendly and empathetic people to provide one-to-one support, helping to build service users self-esteem and confidence.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in a rewarding volunteer role in which you really are providing invaluable support to those in the community that need it most.

Suggested Time Commitment: We would suggest a minimum time commitment of 1 hour per week, however this is flexible and availability can be discussed with your named supervisor at interview stage.

We do not accept CV’s as a form of application, applicants must submit a completed Creative Support application form which can be requested or downloaded via the listed methods.
