Short Job Description:

Our Birmingham Supported Living Service supports people with learning disabilities and also mental health needs to live independently in the community in their own homes or with tenancies with local housing associations. The service aims to promote the independence of people living with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health needs and encourage service users to participate in meaningful activities and access the local community.

Purpose of the role: Our Birmingham Supported Living Service provides a great service to vulnerable people in the community, we just need someone to help us get the word out about the great work we do. We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic volunteer to help us raise Creative Support’s profile and to promote the services we run. You’ll help support our teams to create attractive literature, posters and regularly update our social-media platforms.

This is an ideal role for a student currently studying marketing, digital media, graphic design or another communications based course, wishing to gain valuable experience and apply their learnt skills into practice. This role is also ideal for someone with prior experience in a marketing and communications role, who would like to spare a few hours per week to help a learning disability and mental health organisation with your skills and experience.

Suggested Time Commitment: We recommend 2 – 4 hours per week, however we are flexible around your schedule.
