Lost Budgie House
My budgie was called Elgar
He liked playing with his bell – guy!
He looked at his little mirror all day
And chirped and chirped and tweeted away!
He was a happy little chappie
Until one day he became down and sappy.
He dropped off his perch
When he was in search,
I think, of a little nut,
And banged his head, went out like a light
And that was the end – legs up –
Of my best mate, budgie Elgar.
I was lost
So was budgie
My house was lonely
Without only the lovely squeaking of Elgar.
I was sad.
Months later I was recovered and bought Budgie Lolly.
Then I was jolly – again!
