Ben’s Success Story!

IMG_7989On Wednesday 22nd April, Ben who lives at our White Ox service in Carlisle graduated from the Prince’s Trust course at his local college. He completed the full twelve weeks with commitment and enthusiasm. On the day of the presentation Ben gave a speech on what he enjoyed about the course and what he’s learnt from it, telling the audience what he’d like to achieve in the future.

He said:

“I’ve enjoyed meeting and getting to know new people, volunteering for CCP and a bike recycle centre. After gaining this experience I have updated my CV with the help of the Prince’s Trust and I have a job interview coming soon for a local bowling alley! I had the best attendance on the course and I feel like it’s really helped my future. I moved into the White Ox in July 2004, I like it there, the staff have really helped me there’s a really big TV!”

On the day of the presentation Ben was cheered on by three staff from Creative Support. His Support Worker Angela said:

“I’m really proud of Ben and everything he’s achieved in such a short space of time, he’s been really committed through the whole twelve weeks. I’d also like to say thank you to everyone who have supported Ben through the course, being with him every day to make sure he attends give him plenty of encouragement!”
