Creative Support Reaches the Finals of the Skills for Care Accolades
Creative Support is a finalist in the Skills for Care 2013/14 Accolades in the Best Employer Support for the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) category.
The prestigious Skills for Care Accolades, which are now in their eleventh year, reward the best in adult social care. They are awarded to organisations and employers who are committed to delivering high quality care and developing their workforce. The Skills for Care Accolades also offer an opportunity to share best practice so social care professionals can continue to make innovative improvements that make a difference to those who need care and support.
The gala event will be held tonight at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, NEC. Creative Support is shortlisted in the Best Employer Support for ASYE category alongside Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth Social Work Education Network (SHIP) and Hertfordshire County Council.
Elaine Johnston-Jones, Practice Learning Coordinator at Creative Support, said: “We are all really pleased to be nominated for this Skills for Care Accolade. Until recently, the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment for newly qualified social workers had mainly been offered to social work staff in the statutory sector. It is a great achievement for a voluntary sector employer such as Creative Support to get through to the finals and we’re really looking forward to the event tonight.”
