Christmas in the North East
Christmas was a very busy time for Creative Support in the North East!
Service users and staff at Middlesbrough’s Albert Terrace project showed festive charitable sprit by donating to their local food bank. With the support of staff, friends and family, they started collecting non-perishable food for several months before Christmas. A special hamper-making craft session saw service users from Albert Terrace and Stockton Home Care wrap and decorate the hampers before filling them with food. The hampers were then transported to the food bank where they were collected and sorted by staff. Well done to all involved in collecting, and a special thank you to Middlesbrough’s Lees Road project who donated a fantastic hamper from their Christmas Fête.
Also in December, service users took part in a photography taster session with professional photographer Kevin Howard. Kevin talked about his work and showed images from his portfolio. Participants were then able to have a go at photographing each other in a style they chose, creating some really striking images which you can see in the gallery below!
