Christmas Day in Dudley

Christmas Day CollageOn 25th December, Dudley residents were treated to the first annual Christmas Day event held at The Savoy Centre in Netherton.

The Christmas Day festivities, which were organised by Dudley Floating Support working in conjunction with Black Country Housing, were to offer those in the local borough who may have been feeling socially isolated an opportunity to let their hair down and enjoy the day with others.

Event organisers Tam Hammonds, Gemma Havins and Sean Leadington, with the help and support from volunteers who were kind enough to offer their time on Christmas Day, ensured that it was a day to remember for a long time.

Tam, Gemma and Sean wish to thank local companies including Iceland, Aldi and Poundland for offering their support to the event. Without their kindness, generosity and support the day would not have been such a great success!

Malcolm, who volunteered on the day, said: “This was a total change to my Christmas Day routine and it gave me such a good feeling inside, more of the true meaning of Christmas.”
