Service User Achievement Award – October 2013 Winners Announced!

Congratulations to Georgina, October’s Service User Achievement Award winner. She was nominated by Bob, a member of staff at our Kendal Floating Support service, who said:

“Georgina has been campaigning for a ‘ring and ride’ service in Cumbria to help people with limited mobility attend local groups, GP surgeries, day centres and other services. She has contacted local MPs and started a petition to ask for a service which would be appreciated by many in her community.”

Other highly commended nominees in October included James who has used his woodwork skills to make props for a performance, Christopher who helped to organise an event which raised £300 for charity, David who has demonstrated his confidence by being interviewed on BBC Radio 4, Carol who has reached the milestone of working for 43 years for the same employer, and Lisa who encourages other service users at her project to take part in activities.

If you’d like to make a nomination for next month’s Service User Achievement Awards, please complete this form and return it to our Head Office. For more information, call Lois Peacock on 0161 236 0829 or email
