Dignity Action Day 2013
Dignity Action Day falls on 1st February 2013 and provides an opportunity for health and social care workers, and the general public, to uphold people’s rights to dignity and give people who use care services a special occasion to celebrate.
Treating people with dignity means showing them respect, giving them the opportunity to make choices for themselves and upholding their right to privacy. Dignity Action Day aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
Dignity is at the centre of everything Creative Support does, and all our services are individualised, person centred and deliver valued outcomes. Creative Support passionately believes that our service users have the right to live lives that are meaningful and which enable them to reach their full potential as individuals. Our organisation has a culture of openness – as well as zero tolerance of abuse – and always listens to the views of service users and staff.
