Manchester Evening News Wish Campaign 2012 Results

The results of the Wish Campaign 2012, run by the Manchester Evening News, have finally been announced – and Breakthrough has won a prize of £37.73!

Late last year, the MEN asked readers to collect tokens which made up a share of a prize pot. Creative Support’s dedicated service users and staff collected a fantastic 1,564 tokens for Breakthrough, and the prize money will be used to buy some new arts and craft supplies for the service.

Breakthrough currently runs salt dough, art and drama sessions – among others – and is in need of some new equipment, so the Wish Campaign prize has come at a perfect time for the service. After the success of last year’s art exhibition, Creative Support and Breakthrough are keen to encourage service users to get creative and make the most of their talents by providing them with the best arts and craft materials. The money won in the Wish Campaign will go some way towards making this possible.

The Wish Campaign has also given Creative Support a fantastic platform to publicise all the good work that Breakthrough does and make people aware of the services on offer in the Manchester area. The Manchester Evening News has been a great supporter of local, not-for-profit organisations and has made a huge difference to these groups with the Wish Campaign.
