Members of Creative Support’s Breakthrough music group performed at the Night & Day Café in Manchester on Tuesday 20th November.
An audience of friends, relatives and Creative Support staff enjoyed an evening of amazing performances.
The show, entitled Breakthrough Rocks, was the pinnacle of two years of rehearsals by the group. Breakthrough’s music sessions, led by Charly Tiefenauer, have helped service users to share their passion for music in all its forms.
Each member performed two songs, many of which they had composed themselves, and the concert came to a close with a singalong of ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol, ‘Half The World Away’ by Oasis, and ‘Sit Down’ by James.
The group’s goal for the future is to continue performing in public at events which capture the authentic atmosphere of a rock gig.
