Creative Support’s Annual General Meeting
Creative Support’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Thursday 27th September at the National Football Museum in Manchester.
Our Chief Executive, Anna Lunts, gave a presentation showcasing all our achievements in the last year to an audience of service users and staff members. Highlights included our Jubilee and Olympic events, and the many new services we have taken on recently.
Gerry Burke, a current service user, gave a presentation about the Sandy Lane Gardening Group. The group has also had a busy year and on top of growing vegetables in their popular allotment, they also make furniture and provide a maintenance service to sheltered housing projects.
As well as hearing interesting speeches, guests also browsed our art exhibition. The AGM was the first date of a nationwide tour, which will visit Birmingham, London, Reading, the North East and other regions. The exhibition features service user art including paintings, sculpture, poems and photography. Why not take a look at our Service User Events Calendar and find out when the event is coming to a town near you?
The AGM ended with a buffet and a disco, while the formal business took place in a separate room. We have plenty of exciting plans for the next twelve months, so next year’s event is all set to be even bigger and better!
