Disability Awareness Day in Warrington!
Last week was Disability Awareness Week and the Disability Partnership in Warrington marked the occasion by holding a week of events and parties.
The week concluded at Walton Hall Gardens on Sunday 15th July with Disability Awareness Day (DAD), the biggest disability festival in Europe. The festival was a great success and included a zoo, a children’s play park, food and drink, stalls, sports activities (including football, crazy golf and rock climbing) and an entertainment tent with bands, dancers, actors and more!
Creative Support’s Warrington services had a great stall at the event and attracted the crowds with necklace making workshops as well as information on the services which we provide. Our service users got involved in scuba diving, and Ronnie from Manchester played a great 15 minute set with his band in the entertainment tent!
Thanks to the Disability Partnership in Warrington for holding such a great event! We’re already look forward to next year!
