Warrington Day Centre Open Day
Warrington Day Centre’s Open Day on June 24th promoted the work we do at the centre and thanks to the hard work of the staff team, volunteers and members, the event was a great success. Volunteer support for the event was very strong, including a first outing for the products of the Gardening and Craft groups. The two groups raised in excess of £150 from the sale of a beautiful array of products including hanging baskets, flowerpot men and gift cards.
Guests who attended include Steve Wright, Deputy Mayor for Warrington; David Mowat, MP for Warrington South and Wolfie, Warrington Wolves favourite mascot who also brought the Challenge Cup. Other attendees included representatives from Warrington Social Services and the 5 Boroughs Partnership as well as the local councillors. The staff and members were interviewed by Radio Warrington and The Warrington Guardian regarding the centre’s achievements in promoting mental health recovery.
The feedback received from guests at the open day event was extremely positive reinforcing the time, effort and commitment of all staff, members, and volunteers.
I am very impressed with the support the Day Centre provides to people with mental health needs.

If it wasn’t for the Day Centre I wouldn’t be very well … I really enjoyed the Open Day, in particular the gallery displaying members’ artwork was very impressive.
