Wolverhampton Art Exhibition

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary, Creative Support projects in Wolverhampton held a week long exhibition of service users’ artworks in November. The pop up gallery was set up in an empty unit in the Mander shopping precinct in Wolverhampton city centre to make it accessible to all.

A shop that had last been filled with sports and soccer equipment, now presented a wealth of human creativity, from paintings and handmade jewellery, to a photo diary, painted glass jars and mosaic tables. The exhibition was very well attended by local service users and staff, as well as curious members of the public.

There was a buffet on the Friday afternoon to celebrate the success of the exhibition. The film crew were there to capture the action to feature in the Creative Support 20th Anniversary film.

The visitors’ book filled up rapidly over the week and is full of positive comments, including: ‘I found the exhibition/gallery very interesting and everyone’s work was really good. Seems like everyone is doing a great job, keep it up!!’

Well done to everyone who worked so hard on making this event a success, the service users who submitted their art works and the staff who organised everything.
